The Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage has turned to social media to set the record straight about the kidnapping rumors that have been circulating.
In the wee hours of Friday, rumors spread online that the singer had narrowly avoided being kidnapped by her own personal team.
On Friday, April 14, 2023, the Stamina Hitmaker’s management released a statement on her Instagram page confirming rumors of a massive security breach at her Lagos mansion.
However, according to Tiwa, suspects have been arrested and taken to the Alagbo Police Station in Ikoyi for questioning.
She also took the opportunity to express gratitude to the many people (including fans, coworkers, and others) who had inquired about her health.
Reads the declaration:
“We can confirm that there was a massive security breach at the recent of rapper Tiwa Savage on Thursday, April 13, 2023, as previously reported online.”
At the Alagbon Police Station in Ikoyi, where they are being held for investigation, several suspects have been apprehended.
Ms. Savage and her loved ones are secure.
