My daughter must marry as a virgin – Biodun Okeowo brags

Biodun Okeowo, well known as Omoborty in the Nollywood community, has said that her daughter must wed without sullying either of them and that their union must be founded on chastity.

The movie star made the revelation in response to an Instagram fan who said that being a virgin at age 25 is something to be ashamed of.

On her part, Biodun Okeowo pleaded with her 18 year old daughter, Boluwatife Okeowo not to listen to such statement, but keep her virginity till wedding night.

“My daughter if you are seeing this post don’t mind her oh. Keeping your virginity till the day you say ‘I do’ is not shameful,” she wrote.

You may remember that in March, once her daughter reached 18, Biodun Okeowo gave her permission to join social media.

Boluwatife Okeowo, Biodun’s daughter, was not allowed to have a social media account until she was 18, unlike the kids of her mother’s coworkers.

She already told us this is a particular age, we would get to before she would allow us to start doing some certain things and it is okay for us, so I don’t feel uncomfortable with what is happening, because I was already aware of it before it started,” Victoria, who became a landlady on her 18th birthday, said in an interview she granted some time ago. My mother is very open with my brother and me about her thoughts and feelings on a wide range of topics, and the fact that many of her coworkers’ daughters have Instagram pages is not an indication that I should have one as well.

“It’s perfectly fine for families to raise their children in a variety of ways; what’s most important is that parents have the means to provide their children’s basic requirements, which my brother and I have not. I am happy, I am not on social media (yet), and I am quite proud of the way she has brought us up; everything else is secondary. Since she has previously told me that I can do all that when I am 18, I don’t see any reason to accelerate the process now.
